Use the records and questions in your report to check the car before you buy.

Before you buy

  • Public beta: results vary by vehicle, country, source availability, indexing, and access conditions. Inaccessible or unavailable sources are not evidence of a clean history.
  • Match the VIN in the report to the VIN on the car and its documents.
  • Open the linked records and check when each source was last updated.
  • Ask the seller about every warning, conflict, and missing document.
  • Inspect and test-drive the car before paying. For an EV, include a battery-health test.
